Haldimand County Hydro is dedicated to provide safe and reliable distribution and maintenance of electricity in Haldimand County. Severe weather can often be the culprit of damage to our system. If you experience a power outage, please call our office anytime day or night.
One of the first mailings that you will receive from us will be a welcome package that will contain some of the following items for your convenience:
Each month you will receive a monthly bill for your electricity consumption. We also provide billing to water and/or sewer customers of Haldimand County. Your meter will be read each month and if at anytime we are unable to access your meter, your bill will be sent to you using estimated consumption.
Your monthly payments can be made easily by enrolling today in the pre-authorized payment plan. Not only will you enjoy the convenience, you can save the cost of postage and the cost of cheques. Your payment can also be made through most Canadian financial institutions.
Haldimand County Hydro operates under “Conditions of Service” that are regulated by the Ontario Energy Board (OEB). As per our “Conditions of Service”, all new customers are reviewed for security deposit requirements. Customers may have their deposit waived if suitable payment history with Haldimand County Hydro is available. If history is not available, you are able to provide a credit reference from another Canadian electric or gas utility, or a credit check can be performed with your authorization to reverse security deposit requirements. Security deposits will be added to an account when a good payment history is not maintained.
