Power Outage Notifications
Townsend Area - Update April 13, 2012
Townsend
distribution system maintenance notice:
Over
the next several weeks Haldimand County Hydro will be completing maintenance to
the underground distribution system in Townsend. This work is being done
to improve the reliability of service.
The
safe completion of this work will require the interruption the supply of
electricity to parts of Townsend. We will do our best to notify affected
customers by distributing a “Notice of Power Interruption” in advance of any
planned outages. These notices are also available on our website.
The notice will contain the specific dates and times of planned power
interruptions.
These interruptions will impact between 50-70 customers per
occurrence for a duration of approximately four hours, typically beginning at
9:00 am. It is anticipated that each customer should only
experience a single planned outage to allow us to complete our maintenance
work.

Townsend pathway light notice

“Haldimand County Hydro has become aware of electrical safety concerns with the pathway lighting in Townsend. In order to ensure the safety of public we have temporarily de-energized the pathway lighting system until repairs can be completed. We are working with the County to investigate and will return the pathway lighting system to service at the earliest opportunity, but significant repairs are required”
